The story
She is every child of the earth, riding through this ancient forest on the back of a great bear, present to all the magic around her, listening, belonging, and free.
To stand amongst the ancient giants is to step into another world where silence and wonder awaken something deep. Time slows. There is a remembering, of sense of being part of something vast and timeless.
The redwoods have stood for millions of years and have much to teach us. The tallest living beings on earth, they do not stand alone. Beneath the soil, their roots intertwine with one another, sharing nutrients, steadying each other through every storm, tending to their young, their sick, and their old. High in their canopies, entire ecosystems flourish: ferns, mosses, and even other trees, growing hundreds of feet above the ground. Their leaves drink from the fog and return it as rain, giving life to everything around them. They live in reciprocity with all of life. In their stillness, they teach us to root deeply in the earth and grow towards the light, to stand not in isolation but in relationship, part of the grand interconnected web of life, woven through with beauty, wonder, and awe.
